Since our humble beginnings in the mid 1980s, our festival has grown to showcase what Wellington Indians are all about.
The Wellington Indian Association, in partnership with the Wellington City Council, brings Namaste Wellington to our capital city. NW comprises of several diverse member organisations with representatives from a cross section of local Indian communities, businesses, art and performance groups who work together in harmony to ensure the seamless running of NW.
The dynamic committee comprises members (all volunteers) who are of varying age groups, passionate about spreading the cultural and spiritual awareness of the Indian culture through education, awareness, participation and fun
We are grateful to the MAYOR OF WELLINGTON for presenting NW for the past few years. 2021 was unusual year with covid-19 cancellations but this, the 4th year, it is planned to come into full swing again!
